KEDS Tanzania Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “KEDS Tanzania” or “Company”) was registered in Tanzania in the year 2016. The principal business is mainly the international trade of building material products and daily chemical instant consumables. It is based and projected to take advantage (in the future) of the development and expansion of emerging markets in Africa. KEDS intends to employ up to 650 employees working for the company in 2018.

KEDS is dedicated to put the customer at the foremost, with its core business philosophy as the improvement of living quality of people from emerging countries.

Therefore, KEDS has formed a strong team of product research and development providing people from emerging markets with Daily FMCG.

POSITION TITTLE: Quality Controller/Quality Assurance 

REPORTS TO: Quality ControllerManager


  • Responsible for Controlling and Assuring Quality of raw materials and produced goods to meet standards set by the company and comply with Tanzania standard and international standards.
  • Responsible for analysis of different parameters in the produced products.
  • Conducting various analysis of raw materials, water and finished goods.
  • Ensuring production process is according to the standard set by the company.
  • To monitor production flow and collect samples time after time for analyst tomaintain   product standards throughout.
  • Responsible for quality of finished products by controlling packaging and storage.
  • Conducting various research on produced products and other related productsfrom other manufactures.
  • To carry out calibration and maintains of laboratory equipment’s.
  • Preparation of laboratory testing solution and to standardization.
  • Responsible for Registering, renewal and attain certificates of the produced products.
  • Responsible for quality, standard, health and safety.

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical skills, Managerial ability, leadership skill, sound mind and logical 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili both written and Oral.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse population.
  • Must be a Male aged between 20 to 40.
  • Experience & Training.
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical processing Engineering.
  • 2 -4 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality assurance/ Chemical analyses. 
  • Basic computer knowledge and  programming ( math lab)

Job Description
Present, promote, and sell products or services to new and existing clients
Plan domestic tours including lodging, food and transportation arrangements; negotiates with tour operators on domestic and international tour packages and ticketing
Conducts post-tour evaluations, analyses and reports response
Liaise with airlines for the best prices as well as other transport companies to ensure travel arrangement including for transport, accommodation and food as made according to the clients’ requirement.
Book transportation and hotel reservations, using computer terminal or telephone.
Negotiate and prices tours for the clients to help generate revenue for the tour company Arrange for the collection of payment as well as for transportation and accommodation from customers
Conduct client relationship management which will include; assisting clients to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required
Promote the tour company using e-marketing.
Create and advise the clients on their itinerary.
Provide customer with brochures and publications containing travel information, such as local customs, points of interest, or foreign country regulations.
Tracks and notifies travellers of payment received and balance due
Promotes tours and generates publicity by attending travel fairs, tour & travel presentations
Maintain social media company social media content

Service Officer at Simusolar Ltd – Mwanza

This position is for people who have proven their capabilities as customer servicing and are ready to attend customers for servicing in collaboration with customer care representatives. They continue serving customers and provide customer feedback, ensure customer satisfaction after servicing, lesson learned and viable solutions for each task solved. Good communication skills, problem solving skills and flexibility are key to serving our customers better.

Role Summary:
Field service office is responsible to attend and complete all assigned service tasks on time. The role expects to reach our customers as soon as we can, serve them, retain them by solving their problems and leave them happy. The role include installations audits, re-installations, replacing defective parts, customer experience/usage surveys and reeducating customers whenever necessary.

Your responsibilities focus on customer service, including
1. Attending assigned tasks and complete them accordingly
2. Documentation of problems and solutions attended which causes, solutions and customer feedback
3. Communication: For all of the above, the service officer is expected to work closely with customer care, technical team and other departments.

(b) Learn from customer’s experience
Develop documentation of field feedback
Ensure we have the correct information of the problem and viable solutions
Understanding the source of the problem and address it if its due to usages

Plan your tasks attendance in regard of time and cost
Advice customer care and technical team priorities
Understand customer service main objective and be a leader in achieving these

(d)Cost effectiveness:
Achieve the objectives above as cost-effectively as possible so we can keep our prices low for our customers.

Minimum requirements:
1 (one) year experience in customer servicing role
Certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Customer service, Sales, Logistics and other related fields

Service Officer must demonstrate the following:
Ability to multi task and stay focused
Initiative in improving customer servicing procedures
Ability to set plans, and budgets that balance servicing and economics;
Demonstrated ability to work proactively and constructively with all departments;
Demonstrated ability to utilize company’s technologies.
Strong communication skills.
