Service Officer at Simusolar Ltd – Mwanza

This position is for people who have proven their capabilities as customer servicing and are ready to attend customers for servicing in collaboration with customer care representatives. They continue serving customers and provide customer feedback, ensure customer satisfaction after servicing, lesson learned and viable solutions for each task solved. Good communication skills, problem solving skills and flexibility are key to serving our customers better.

Role Summary:
Field service office is responsible to attend and complete all assigned service tasks on time. The role expects to reach our customers as soon as we can, serve them, retain them by solving their problems and leave them happy. The role include installations audits, re-installations, replacing defective parts, customer experience/usage surveys and reeducating customers whenever necessary.

Your responsibilities focus on customer service, including
1. Attending assigned tasks and complete them accordingly
2. Documentation of problems and solutions attended which causes, solutions and customer feedback
3. Communication: For all of the above, the service officer is expected to work closely with customer care, technical team and other departments.

Develop documentation of field feedback
Ensure we have the correct information of the problem and viable solutions

Plan your tasks attendance in regard of time and cost
Advice customer care and technical team priorities
Understand customer service main objective and be a leader in achieving these

(d)Cost effectiveness:
Achieve the objectives above as cost-effectively as possible so we can keep our prices low for our customers.

Minimum requirements:
1 (one) year experience in customer servicing role
Certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Customer service, Sales, Logistics and other related fields

Service Officer must demonstrate the following:
Ability to multi task and stay focused
Initiative in improving customer servicing procedures
Ability to set plans, and budgets that balance servicing and economics;
Demonstrated ability to work proactively and constructively with all departments;
Demonstrated ability to utilize company’s technologies.
Strong communication skills.

Job  Summary:
The Hardware Analyst is a critical member of our growing team.  For an early-career professional or engineer with electronics experience, it is a great opportunity to develop your skills and build a career in the growing solar industry.

You are responsible for a variety of mission critical areas that will give you exposure to all aspects of our operations and technology:
1. Customer technical support (level 2) and support to our customer services team;
2. Field service repairs, removals and installations, involving travel;
3. Testing and quality control of solar, battery, and communications hardware received from manufacturer;
4. Assembly, soldering and production activities of products for testing and/or sale;
5. Product development support, including prototype hardware programming, measurement, and testing;
6. Troubleshooting of hardware failures, determining root cause and potential fixes;

Prerequisites (level of proficiency):
You need to be experienced with a number of technologies, responsible, and eager to learn. Given the unique nature of this position, it is expected that the Hardware Analyst will acquire some of the necessary skills on the job.
Digital circuitry and electronics, including measurement and assembly (basic);
Programming of circuit boards: uploading and testing software (medium);
Technical support, either in a call-center or internal context (medium);
Quality control;
English and Swahili fluency.

Civil/Environmental Engineer (2 Positions)

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Holder of a Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering/or equivalent qualifications who is registered with Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania as a professional engineer with at least three years experience in water network Engineering, designing, project supervision, Computer application skills and management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Undertake water supply and sewerage projects from feasibility, design and supervision of works
ii. Mapping of Water supply and sewerage networks
iii. Coordinates activities of technicians undertaking Planning, Design and Construction activities of the Authority.
iv. Provides technical support to subordinates and exposes them to new technological developments in their fields.
v. Conducts project appraisals and makes recommendations on project feasibility.
vi. Conducts open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and gives feedback.
vii. Develops individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement.
viii. Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor
